I live and breathe ethical. This alternative way of consuming and existing dominates my every waking moment- and sometimes more. Ethical fashion and living are no longer my hobbies, it has become my mission... to change the future of fast fashion and the way we consume. My husband and I strive to live a zero waste lifestyle, live at thrift stores, and always look to 'up-cycle' rather than throw out. Eco living is not a choice for me, it's in my blood, and I am trying with all my power for it to be the new 'norm'.
I grew up in a family that care for the planet and it's people. We lived in Mongolia for two years as volunteers, always sponsored children, op-shopped, and knew to repair our belongings rather than just throw things away. It wasn't until I watched The True Cost Documentary 2 years ago that I decided: If I am going to do this, I am going to do it with all that I have and all that I am. My journey started with fashion and grew into a desire to understand every impact I have on the planet and how I can tread lightly. I learn things everyday. It excites me, scares me, and amazes me all at the same time. I don't have time to think of myself as just one person who won't make a difference. That's why I get up every morning. Our planet is beautiful, and I'm not going to sit around watching it go to waste. xx
