Your Eco + Ethical Christmas Gift Guide For Stuff That Won't Be In The 'Giveaway' Pile Next Year
I’ve just completed the #12daysofminimalism challenge, I’ve been harping on about giving gifts of PRESENCE rather than PRESENTS on Christmas Day, yet, here we are, in the middle of another blimmin’ Christmas Gift Guide.
I know you’re confused, but I’ve realised a few things:
Some people love receiving gifts and will screw up their noses if they don’t (we’ll train these people slowly shall we?)
Gifting can be a way to start people off on their eco/ethical lifestyle journey
Supporting small, eco and ethical focused brands is one of the biggest positive impacts you can make
Most gift guides are aimed at people in America and Europe- not helpful for us over here in the Southern Hemisphere
I told myself I wouldn’t write a gift guide: I hate the consumerism focus of Christmas.
BUT I’ve worked with some incredible Australian and New Zealand brands throughout 2018, and I’m certain they won’t end up in your friend’s and family’s ‘giveaway’ pile.
Without further adieu, here are my top picks for companies with online stores that will:
a) Get to your house before Christmas if you’re in NZ or Australia!
b) Fill homes with eco goodness and sustainable joy.
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored blog post. I’ve worked with all the companies below in some shape or form this year, but this blog post is just from me to you. Only 3 of the discount codes will provide me with a small commission (usually 10%) if you purchase. I work hard to get discount codes to make the eco-switch easier for you.
