The Face Masque You'll Never Want To Live Without: The Botanic Alchemist
Finding a good face masque is a tricky thing... but I've nailed it!
I've been using face masks on and off for the past 7 years. I used to treat them as a specialty, something I would buy (they would cost a fortune!) in those stupid little plastic packets when I had a sleepover with my friends. They would do nothing but make my skin smooth for a second, slightly irritated, and squeaky clean to the point it felt weird to move my face. Know the feeling? Good riddance!
The Botanic Alchemist have created a face masque I have fallen in love with. After using it consistently for the past 3 weeks, my skin has had less breakouts, and looked more fresh and alive than ever before. Even my husband, Tim, has noticed! When I don't have time to apply a full masque and sit for 5-10 minutes, the masque doubles as an exfoliator. A few minutes of circular motions on my cheeks and oily spots, and wa-la. But what makes this masque so special?
Let's go back to the roots of why The Botanic Alchemist first began. Founder, Paula, launched The Botanic Alchemist in 2015. It was formed out of her growing frustration with expensive products that only gave disappointment, bad skin reactions, and none of the promised results. You know the old saying: if you can't find good natural skin care products, make them yourself!
The unique thing about every Botanic Alchemist product is: they are water free. This means they are filled with all the good stuff. Botanic Alchemist products are made with plant based ingredients and botanical oils. The lack of water eliminates the need for fillers and preservatives. All products are vegan and cruelty free. PLUS they come in amber glass jars which are 100% recyclable, or can be used for other purposes (because they are so damn cute).
So, how does the face masque work? The face masque exists in a powder form which may look like dirt, but oh boy it isn't. The ingredients react in water, forming a rough paste that is easily applied to the skin. Some powdered face masques I have used in the past are messy and leave my face cloth, sink, and entire bathroom stained after use. Not this one! Although I may look like a grub, the face masque is simple to apply (once you get the hang of it) and washes off without having to scrub your face or the bathroom sink.

Finding brands like The Botanic Alchemist make me excited for the future of natural beauty products. We put so much emphasis on what we put INTO our bodies, and forget that what we put ON them matters just as much, if not more. I want to look after my skin and grow old in a natural, but healthy way. I know that The Botanic Alchemist face masque will always be a part of my beauty regime.
